Didn't stay here - but stopped for lunch at this lovely old style guest-house by the river. Typical Sri Lankan Rice 7 Curry for lunch - which was the best we had in Sri Lanka in 10 days. freshly cooked and very tasty curries and dhal with the usual huge portions of rice. Activities
The Resort is a very convenient hub for number of Tourist attractions with in the Sabaragamuwa Province in Sri Lanka. Number of such attractions list to over 15 with in a 1 hour radius inclusive of Nature, Culture, Religion, History, Shopping and way of life. Kitulgala is a popular attraction for White Water Rafting, Canoeing, Freshwater bathing and also to witness the original movie-set (remaining ruins) of the Bridge on the River Kwai.
We stayed here for one night as part of an Exodus tour of Sri Lanka. Our room overlooked the river, which was in full spate. The hotel has an interesting history and there are pictures on display from the filming of "The Bridge over the River Kwai". The food was good...
