Inside the jungles of Kitulgala there are plenty of camping opportunities which can be coupled with White Water Rafting, Bird Watching, Jungle Walks, River bathing and many adventure activities.
If you are looking at an adventure and leisure base close to Colombo, Kithulgala is THE PLACE. Being so close to Colombo if you stay for one night you would be able to do many adventure and leisure activities such as White Water Rafting, Bird Watching, Walking in the Jungle, Visiting pre historic caves, Bathing in the river, Trekking to Waterfalls, Adventure Jumps and slides in natural ponds, River Expeditions, Rain Forest Walks and Trails, Flat Water Rafting, Waterfall Abseiling, Mountain biking etc.
Our Rain Forest Campsite is located in the Jungles of Kitulgala near small scenic waterfall where you can have a relaxing holiday by the water.

Kitulgala is the place where the famous ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’ film was made. Kelani Valley forest reserve is established as a forest reserve to protect the watershed of Kelani River. It is home to many of Sri Lanka’s endemic fauna and flora. The forest is secondary lowland rainforest on the lower slope with the forest extending up to the higher elevations, contiguous with the Peak Wilderness sanctuary. Kitulgala also has several waterfalls and caves of Ancient times.

Sri Lanka is famous for its spices and spices gardens. These spice gardens offers tourists memorable visits to various spice plantations in Sri Lanka. In order to promote and uplift spice growing and spice gardens of Sri Lanka a spice council was established with all key industry private and public sector stakeholders. During early historical times Sri Lanka Known as Taprobane, was world renowned for its quality spices. During ancient times the Greeks, Romans and the Arabic maintained there links with Sri Lanka through the spice trade.
